The Chevrolet Corvette, also known as the Vette, is a 2-door sports car manufactured by the Chevrolet division of General Motors. The first generation Chevy Corvette was introduced late in the 1953 model year. A Chevy Corvette has been used as the Indianapolis 500 pace car on 12 occasions. Keyless remote central locking systems are available for most Chevrolet Corvette trim levels and are standard features on all newer models.
